Notes

This is the shape of a turbo upgrade done in the right order. The turbo itself is the easy decision. What takes the time is everything hanging off it: the manifold geometry, where the oil feed and return go, how the charge air gets across the engine without cooking, and whether the fuel system can actually keep up.

The parts shot shows how a job like this arrives at the workshop: manifold, turbo, intercooler and fuel rails on the bench before anything comes apart. Nothing gets fitted until the whole package is in front of them.
